The Board of the Swiss Metaverse Association has recently undergone some changes. We are thrilled to welcome new members to the team while also bidding farewell to two highly valued colleagues.

New Appointments:

• Daniel Diemers has been appointed Co-President! Daniel is a recognized thought leader in the fields of the metaverse, VR, and AR, bringing exceptional expertise and strategic vision to our Association.
• Alexandra Hofer has stepped down from her role as President but will remain an esteemed member of the Board. We sincerely thank Alexandra for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and expertise during the first two years of the SMA, which were instrumental in shaping our foundation and vision.
• Urs Langenegger, Co-Founder of Bandara, joins as a Board Member. Urs brings extensive hands-on experience, having successfully delivered numerous VR, AR, and metaverse projects. His practical knowledge will be an invaluable asset to our work.
• Elisabeth Niederstetter also joins the Board, contributing her strong legal expertise. She will also play a key role in supporting our Legal & Regulatory Working Group.
• Tina Balzli will continue to serve as Co-President, providing strong leadership and unwavering support to drive the Swiss Metaverse Association forward. We deeply appreciate Tina’s dedication and contributions over the past two years and look forward to continuing this journey together!

At the same time, we say goodbye to Tina Werro and Gian Nay, who have decided to step down after two years of dedicated service. Their contributions have been instrumental in shaping the Association, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their time, commitment, and insights. Thank you Tina and Gian!

With this renewed team, we look forward to continuing our mission: making the metaverse more visible and positioning Switzerland as a leading hub for metaverse, AR, and VR initiatives.
